Where is Heist?

What is this blog all about? Well, it’s about some of the places I’ve visited in the past, and where I’m going to next. I enjoy great food in all of my travels, I get off the beaten path, I go to popular places, but I like to dive deeper than the regular tourist. I hike and I find beautiful places along the way.

I’m inspired by the late and very great Anthony Bourdain. His adventures and skills as a storyteller led me to so many of my own adventures. For instance, in 2018 I took a solo trip to Vietnam, a country that was never on my radar, but because of him – and like him, I fell in love with that beautiful place, its food and its people.

When I’m home and not working my real job, I enjoying amateur bartending and love to make fancy drinks for my friends and discover great cocktails in every country I visit.

So come along on the ride, I’ll give great tips of what to see and do and hopefully what not to do as well!
